Citizen Designer: AAF – Inland Empire

The citizen designer campaign was launched as part of the Art Institutes Independent Study program. Each student in the class was granted a non-profit organization to develop graphic pieces for. The American Advertising Federation – Inland Empire was the organization I worked with in developing a membership kit as well as stationary. The main focus of the project was a folder that would contain all of the membership information. Upon researching other AAF chapters I found that their graphics were either too over-the-top with graphics, or not graphic enough at all, having a more stagnant, corporate look. The design I went with was a good middle ground, with dynamic graphics representing the geographical area the chapter resides in (palm trees, and cityscape) as well as the medium (the billboard containing the AAF logo).
